Starting September 9th:
Trash pick up is Monday every week, unless Monday is a Federal Holiday in which case, Trash pick up moves to Tuesday - for more, see the city's page.
Recycle pick up is Tuesday every week, unless Monday is a Federal Holiday in which case, Recycle pick up moves to Wednesday - for details including the list of acceptable items, see the city's page.
Trash and recycle cans must be street side for pick up no earlier than noon of the day before scheduled pick up.
The City will return cans to existing enclosures and otherwise owners should make arrangements to have cans brought back to the house for storage until the next pick up.
Please POUR your recyclables into the bin; if the recyclables are in a plastic bag, the recycling center must trash all the contents, even if they are all aluminum cans, the most valuable recyclable (one aluminum can recycled saves enough energy to power a television for three hours).
Recycle material should not be placed in plastic bags.
